NEW COMMENTARY -- Follow Up: Another Reversal! (Tuesday evening - February 1, 2011)
Families were in the streets of Cairo earlier today, even with their small children. Bulls were living it up on Wall Street anew. We pretty much saw the opposite today of what went on in most markets last Friday. Will these moves last?

Turmoil in Egypt: Game-Changer for the Markets? -- Special Commentary, by Chris Temple (Sunday, January 30, 2011)--Here, Chris also weighs in on the goings-on in Egypt, and talks about the many changes of direction for several assets in last Friday's trading. He discusses whether these moves might be one-day wonders...or develop into something more.

"The Revolutionary Christmas Message"

The Dollar Reverses...but for How Long? --Go figure...despite QE-2 and the fears over Ben Bernanke turning the U.S. dollar into toilet paper, the dollar has suddenly embarked on a scorching run higher.  Here's what's caused the greenback's astonishing reversal of fortune; and why the odds are that it will continue for a while.(Posted Nov. 30, 2010)

Election 2010 -- And What it Doesn't Mean -- From the OCTOBER ISSUE:  In this excerpt from an expanded October, 2010 issue, Chris soberly tells you, most of all, what NOT to expect from the strong G.O.P. and Tea Party election results of this past week.

The Investment Philosophy of Tacitus -- (Commentary of October 20, 2010)  As Chris wrote in the latest edition of The National Investor, it is sometimes best to be neither a bull nor a bear, but a chicken.  Tacitus, the Roman statesman and historian of the 1st century A.D., would no doubt agree...

The Hindenburg Omen...and why it's worth pondering
                -
(from the August, 2010 issue)

As the summer days were coming to a close, the August swoon on Wall Street gave rise to the latest manifestation (though some quibble with the technicalities) of the so-called Hindenburg Omen.  In these thoughts from the August issue, we explain why such an indicator of this is worth worrying about at all...

Our ANTI-Predictions for 2010 -- A Mid-year scorecard

All five of our major calls for the year made back on January 1 have come to pass.  Here, we revisit those predictions and tip off one major change -- regarding the U.S. dollar's direction -- coming for the back half of 2010.  (From the June, 2010 issue).

The Great Gold Caper of 1999 –

As we said in the cover story of our August issue, exactly a decade ago the gold market experienced an epic ride worthy of a movie!  The purported “conspiracy” to manipulate the gold price back then nearly blew up; and in the process, made our subscribers more than triple their money in mere DAYS.

Here, as we promised, we reproduce our post-mortem (the first six pages of our October, 1999 issue) of the most extraordinary market event we have EVER had the privilege of covering, and of being a part of.

Understanding the Game--
Though Chris' essay here is nearly six years old, it proved prophetic!!
